We wanted the office to reflect our ethos, therefore wherever possible, we used talented local artisans to create our furniture and artwork and we couldn’t have been happier with the results.
In November 2017, after a lot of hard work, we opened our office in Santa Maria, Sal. It was a proud day for the Explore Cape Verde team!
We really wanted the office to showcase the amazing wildlife Sal has to offer, so we created a gallery wall displaying beautiful photos taken by local residents. These striking photos have become a real talking point for visitors to the office!
Having an office means we can support wildlife conservation even further! We purchase locally made turtles, which we then sell in the office, with 100% of the proceeds going to Project Biodiversity. To date, we have raised/ donated over €1000 in this way. The turtles are available to purchase for €5. Our guests receive an authentic, beautiful, locally made souvenir from Cape Verde, whilst also supporting a great cause.
